Mehean Jones-Quinn (born April 16, 1989), better known by the stage DJ Q89, is a Disc Jockey, Promoter, & Radio Producer born in Muskegon MI. He is best known for Djing, hosting and promoting event, Djing at Clubs,Radio, Concert, & Schools, including the R&B, Hiphop Urban Station in West Michigan. “103.7 The Beat WUVSLP”. The name Dj Q89 was put together by his uncle which Q is the first letter of Quinn’s last name and also Q(Cue) is a meaning of inserting the next track, 89 is the year Quinn was born.

Dj Q89 started playing records when he was 12 years old while listening to his older brother make and produce beats, Quinn learn how to blend artist vocals with his brother beats and played them at talent shows he dj for. At 17 he ran into a guy while he was Djing at a teen event that talk to him about working at the local black own radio station in Muskegon. While at the radio station he learn from the Program Director “Paul Billings”, Music Director “Robert Roundtree” Operation Manager/Radio Personality “Rosie Ladew” and Dj Hitman how the music business really works. Despite Q’s Speech impediment the radio station push Q to start his first Radio show called the QSpot. Q start learning from multiple people how to chop music, host shows, and communicate with different types of people. Lots of people say he as potential to being a Big known dj from the Midwest & he will keep your party hype and entertaining for all ages and Music.
